http://mylifein-books.blogspot.com/

Here Among Us

Here Among Us - Maggie Harryman What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved? The siblings don't get along. Flynn did help her sister

Did anyone in the book do something you did not like? Jeffery was just a jerk in every way. He was a cheater, a liar and a manipulator.

What kind of book is this? List three evidences of this. Fiction. No one just leaves their child. Big Tom wasn't ever prosecuted for any thing

Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author.

The Symbolon: Book 2 of The SIbylline Trilogy (Volume 2)

The Symbolon - Delia J. Colvin How did the main character feel during the book? Alex was like a mad man, trying to figure a way that he and Valeria could be married. He was completely obsessed with her.

What did the title have to do with the book? The title was a mark on your body. Your soul mate was to have the same mark.

Did the setting of the story make it more interesting? Yes, it did. Traveling to all the other countries. Very romantic, beautiful places.

Did this book remind you of anything that has happened to you? I do know, the feeling of being deeply in love. And how it feels if that person was ripped out of your life.

January Exposure - Sunny Benson Formatting / Appearance – There weren't any issues.

Consider the ending. Did you expect it or were you surprised? Was totally caught off guard with the ending, in a good way.

Is the story plot or character driven? The story was character driven.

Daimones (Daimones Trilogy, #1)

Daimones (Daimones Trilogy, #1) - Massimo Marino Content (overall theme, idea and setting) – The author took a familiar theme and added a new twist. I liked that.

What I liked – The setting. Most times it felt like I was there.

Cover – The cover was impressive. And from an interview I read, I understand it was a real life image that had been taken and altered.

What do you think the author was trying to accomplish with this novel? He was making people think about what could happen.

Marching With Caesar: Civil War

Marching With Caesar: Civil War - R.W. Peake Did you like the way the book ended? Ending was not my favourite, I felt there was something left out. Maybe I need to read the next book and everything will fall in place.

What do you think will be your lasting impression of this book? Knowing that what the author wrote might actually be real. Peake completed extensive research and this does not read like a text book but also does not read like fiction.

What did you think of the cover? I love the reality in the cover. I have thought and talked this over with some over book club members and to me it looks like a painting.

Would you recommend this book? Highly recommend this book. Is it possible to give a book more than 5 stars?

A Tale of the Other Kind: A Therian Novel

A Tale of the Other Kind - Leandi Cameron Are any of the events in the book relevant to your own life? Change. As humans we change daily, whether it is something minor that will never show or something major that everyone sees we all change. As the characters in this book is learning change happens whether we want it or not.

What did you think of the style of the writer? Enjoyed Cameron’s easy flow and unique take on mythology. I personally do not believe I have read any YA books like this.

Was the story credible? Yes, I felt the story and characters was credible. While reading it was easy to picture everything happening.

Did you find any flaws in the book? The only problem I had was the cliff-hanger. Having to wait for the second book is a major drawback after reading this, I wanted to start the other book immediately. I will try and wait patiently for the author to finish.

Are you finished YET Leandi????? Waiting! Waiting!

Fighting the Effects of Gravity: A Bittersweet Journey into Middle Life

Fighting the Effects of Gravity: A Bittersweet Journey Into Middle Life - James Robinson Jr. Describe 2 different settings or locations. The Carribbean of Grenada and Pittsburgh. Both areas are related to the author's life and he relates pieces of life in these destinations.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? Definitely. Because this book is a memoir, it was like he was sitting by you talking.

Did the book description relate to the story? Yes, the author provided a detailed description which gave me an inkling of what I was going to read.

Favourite quote… "Death destroys a man. The idea of death saves him." This book revolves around the observations the author has realised in his mid-life. I assume that death plays on your mind a lot more when you're in your fifties than earlier on in life.

Disclosure - I received a free book from the author. I was not obliged to write a positive review.
